Incoming Freshman Financial Aid Application Process
To receive an early award notification, you must submit your FAFSA through our Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) completion service with our trusted partner Student Aid Services (SAS). Admitted students who fill out the FAFSA through the services will receive an early award estimate in a Personalized Information Packet.
We will notify you via e-mail and hard copy mail when you can begin this process.
If you miss the filing deadline or would prefer not to use the service, you may use the Regular Decision filing option and receive a financial aid package by April 1.
Incoming Freshman & Transfer Financial Aid Application Process
In order to qualify for financial assistance,you must submit all necessary forms on time. Applications for Financial Aid received after the posted deadline will be considered for aid after those filed by the deadline.
State Aid Application:
New York State Residents must file a New York State Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) Application. The student will receive an award certificate from NYSHESC. Fordham University must be listed on the award certificate. If Fordham University is not listed on the certificate, a TAP Change Form must be completed.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Additional information may be requested of you in order to complete your application for Financial Aid or to clarify information. Please submit requested information as quickly as possible so the packaging process is not delayed.
Copies of Federal Taxes for both Students and Parents, and a verification worksheet may be requested.
Be certain that all documents have been signed.
Fordham will send you a letter notifying you of your financial aid package. Comply with all requirements.
