Fordham's Graduate School of Arts and Sciences presents this list of art and culture venues to give you the opportunity to explore the city's rich cultural life. The City of New York is home to more than 700 galleries, 380 nonprofit theater companies, 330 dance companies, 131 museums, 96 orchestras, 40 Broadway theaters, 15 major concert halls, five zoos, five botanical gardens, and an aquarium.

- Pay what you wish the first Friday of every month.
- Suggested donation on weekends.
- From April 1 through October 31, Queens Botanical Garden (QBG) has free hours on Wednesdays 3 – 6 p.m. and Sundays 4 – 6 p.m. From November 1 through March 31, QBG is open from Tuesday to Sunday with free admission.
Staten Island Children’s Museum
- Free admissions for grandparents on Wednesdays 5 – 8 p.m.
- Free admission on Wednesdays 2 – 4:45 p.m.
- Free admission on Wednesdays.
- Free open boat tours: Saturdays 1 – 5 p.m. and Thursdays 4 – 8 p.m.
- Free admission on Saturdays and Tuesdays, 9 a.m.– noon.
