Spring 2022 Diversity Action Plan Implementation Update
The University continues to move forward in pursuit of greater diversity, equity, and inclusion. Spring 2022 highlights include an increase in the percentage of domestic students of color and international students, continued participation in the National Recognition Program Scholarship program, recruit and retain a more diverse faculty, administration, and staff, fund 18 Teaching Race Across the Curriculum (TRAC) grants, create a more welcoming and affirming campus, and co-sponsored the Bronx Summit 2022: All the Way Up, led by an FCRH alumnus.
Establishing the Mission and Social Justice Committee
To signal its deep commitment to the work of confronting racism and educating for justice, during the summer of 2020, the Board of Trustees created a new standing committee: the Mission and Social Justice Committee. The Committee has identified a series of goals to guide their work:
- Increasing the number of Black and other students of color at Fordham
- Ensuring that Black and other students of color know that they are welcome at Fordham
- Measuring the effectiveness of these actions
