Vice President and General Counsel
Margaret T. Ball earned a Bachelor’s degree in French and Psychology and a Master’s degree in Counseling at Duke University. During her graduate program, she was a Resident Advisor and Coordinator, as well as a Teaching Assistant in the Canadian Studies Department. She then served as the Assistant Dean for Advising at Mary Washington College for two years before returning to school at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she received a Juris Doctorate degree. She has been admitted to the bar in North Carolina, New York, and Massachusetts. Following graduation from Law School, she accepted a position at Ithaca College as their first College Attorney and also served as the Executive Assistant to the President. She was later named Vice President and General Counsel at Ithaca.
After a brief stint at Northeastern University as the State Relations Coordinator in the Government Relations Office, she became the University Secretary at Fordham University. As such, she serves as the primary administrative liaison to Fordham’s 40 member Board of Trustees. She recently completed the basic training sessions to become a mediator in New York State.
