Winter 2024

  • Community Partner: Dolores Mission

    Dates: January 7-14, 2024

    Description:
    Working with Dolores Mission, the GO! California team will be engaging with the local community, providing support for a variety of populations including Spanish-speaking immigrants and lower-income families, while also learning about the Boyle Heights Community of East Los Angeles.

  • Community Partner: Friends of Puerto Rico

    Dates: January 7-14, 2024

    Description:
    Working with Friends of Puerto Rico, the GO! Puerto Rico team will be doing service work at Panorama Farm, learning best practices for coffee farming and having advocacy-rooted conversations about economic justice and social opportunity.

     

  • Community Partner: Enlaces Comunitarios Internacionales

    Description:
    GO! Mexico will be working with Enlaces Comunitarios Internacionales, a community-run sustainability organization based in Puebla, Mexico seeking to empower local farmers through sustainable ecological practices.

  • Community Partner: The Industrial Commons

    Description:
    Working with the Industrial Commons, the GO! North Carolina team will be working with sustainable circular economic models through the examples of various textile mills, working primarily with Venezuelan and Hmong immigrant communities. 

     

     
  • Community Partner: Kino Border Initiative

    Description:
    GO! Arizona will be partnering with the Kino Borders Initiative (KBI), a bi-national, Jesuit organization that provides humanitarian aid to Mexican migrants and refugees in both Nogales, Arizona, and Nogales, Mexico, and is committed to a social and pastoral education for its members.

  • Community Partner: Olancho Aid

    Dates: March 21-27, 2024

    Description:
    Working with Olancho Aid, the GO! Honduras team will be engaging with the local community, particularly children in an after-school program while participating in a series of educational access conversations.



     

  • Community Partner: Fordham London Center & the Laudato Si Research Institute

    Dates: March 21-27, 2023

    Description:
    Working primarily with Catholic and Jesuit social apostolates, the GO! London team will be volunteering at meal distribution services, participating in environmental discussions with the Laudato Si institute, and visiting Fordham’s London Center.

    Description:
    Working with Rostro de Cristo, the GO! Ecuador team will be living among the local community in Guayaquil, partnering with a variety of local organizations in shared activities that address housing, education, and social services needs in the area.

    Working with CRISPAZ, the GO! El Salvador team will be following in the footsteps of the Jesuit martyrs, meeting with migration advocacy organizations, and action-planning ways to continue to bring the truth to our Jesuit educational model.

  • Community Partner: Camp Friendship

    Description:
    The GO! Mississippi team will head to Aberdeen, Mississippi, to work with Camp Friendship, a Fordham partner for over three decades, where they will serve and learn as camp counselors to young children ages 6-10, most of whom are in the foster care or social services system.

  • Community Partner: Br. David Darst Center

    Description:
    The GO! Chicago team will be participating in an immersion retreat with the Br. David Darst Center for Justice & Peace Spirituality & Education, working with local partner agencies to consider and address a variety of injustices, while also reflecting and engaging with the local community.

  • Community Partner: University of Pretoria & the Jesuit Institute of South Africa

    Description:
    The GO! South Africa team will head to Pretoria, South Africa to learn about education access, partnering with the University of Pretoria, one of South Africa's top universities, and the Jesuit Institute of South Africa, an organization that promotes an inclusive faith-based vision of personal and social transformation.

  • Community Partner: My Brother's Workshop & Catholic Charities

    Description:
    The GO! St. Thomas team will partner with My Brother's Workshop, a local nonprofit that serves at-risk young people in the US Virgin Islands by offering mentoring, counseling, paid job training, education, and job placement.

    Description:

    The GO! El Paso team will be working with the Encuentro Project, a local organization focused on the better understanding of the migrant experience, found through communication and direct engagement with migrant, refugee or vulnerable immigrant persons.
