Center for Community Engaged Learning Summer
Summer in New York City offers community engaged opportunities for both Fordham students and young people in The Bronx and Manhattan.
Summer Community Engaged Leaders Fellows (SCELF) is a 8-week virtual leadership fellowship offered by the Center for Community Engaged Learning.
Fellows meet weekly to discuss community engaged learning, asset-based community development, and the socioeconomic and cultural history of New York City and the Bronx.
Fordham students will be interning at countless New York City sites this summer committed to social justice, including schools like All Hallows High School, social service agencies like University Neighborhood Housing Program, and community education organizations like Bronx is Blooming. Contact CCEL if you are a community organization looking to work with Fordham students, or to Fordham students and faculty looking to connect with community organizations this summer.
