Message from the Chief Research Officer
Welcome to the Office of Research at Fordham University! To support research discovery, development and delivery for faculty, student and staff, this Office provides a variety of incentive, service, and recognition programs. We are dedicated to facilitating and supporting sponsored research, interdisciplinary research, global research, faculty-student research collaborations, and individual faculty research.
Our office oversees and supports a well-established research infrastructure, including the Office of Sponsored Programs, University Research Council, Research Deans’ Council, University Research Compliance Council, Institutional Review Board, Research Consortia, Institutes and Centers, and all of Fordham’s research compliance committees.
We sponsor and facilitate both internal and external research initiatives and collaborations by offering Faculty Fellowships, Fordham-Columbia, NYU, Georgetown, and IBM Research Fellowships and Internships, Faculty Research Abroad Program, and other Internal Funding Opportunities.
The Office of Research is also responsible for designing and implementing strategic research plans, research policies, technology transfer services, and research recognition programs.
