Joseph J. Liberatore
Joseph J. Liberatore has more than 25 years of international experience as a financial executive in insurance, healthcare, nonprofits and banking, and he has held management positions at Deloitte, Equitable Life, and Citigroup. More recently, he was assistant deputy superintendent and CFO with the New York State Insurance Department and then executive director of finance at the Archdiocese of New York.
Liberatore is senior director of finance for the Center of Regional Healthcare Innovation (CRHI) at Westchester Medical Center in Hawthorne, N.Y. He brings a background in finance, operations, and strategy, as well as compliance. His CRHI team focuses on the development and execution of programs and services commencing with the implementation of the New York State Delivery System Reform Incentive Program (DSRIP).
Liberatore has led business processes required for startup organizations, partnerships, and restructuring companies.
Liberatore is a CPA, having earned both his MBA in international finance and his undergraduate degree in accounting from Fordham University. He is an adjunct instructor at the City College of New York School of Business, lecturing on accounting and business ethics. He is a member of the New York State Society of CPAs and sits on several nonprofit boards in addition to the Gabelli School’s Advisory Board. He resides in Pelham, N.Y., with his wife, Marian, and two children, Gracie and Joseph.
