GSAS Admitted Students Week 2022
Welcome to the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences!
You are invited to attend any or all of the virtual sessions listed below. You will have the opportunity to speak with faculty and connect with current students and GSAS staff. These sessions will help answer your questions about next steps and provide insight into the Fordham graduate student experience. While the events will be recorded and shared at a later date, we encourage you to participate in our live, interactive sessions where you can ask our panelists questions directly.
PLEASE NOTE: REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED FOR ALL EVENTS AND PROGRAM SESSIONS.

10 - 11 a.m. ET | GSAS Welcome and Overview of Schedule
Kick off this exciting week by meeting our Interim Dean, members of the Admission’s team, and the Office of Academic Programs and Support. Hear all about the scheduled events that will provide you invaluable information and assist you in preparing to join the Fordham community. Learn about all of the opportunities you will have to discuss your graduate program, chat with current students, and start to connect with future classmates.
12 - 1 p.m. | Graduate Student Council (GSC) - Welcome to Fordham
The GSC is a student-led association that is dedicated to fostering our graduate student community and providing opportunities for students to make the most of their Fordham experience. Join us to meet the GSC President and Vice President to learn about the GSC and Fordham’s robust campus’ resources such as the Ram Van, Fitness Center, Student Organizations, and mentorship and networking opportunities.

Please note this session is being held twice.
Learn about the Student Visa process and the necessary documentation you need to submit in order to receive your I-20. Representatives from the Office of International Services will be joining this session and available to answer any questions or concerns about securing a Student Visa. Attendance is not required but strongly recommended.
12 - 1 p.m. ET | Funding Resources to Explore (Session 1)
Please note this session is being held twice.
Learn about the many resources you can explore here at Fordham and beyond. This session is dedicated to providing examples of funding resources to support the cost of your graduate education.
3 - 4 p.m. ET | International Student Information - (Session 2)
Please note this session is being held twice.

All Day | Meet with your Academic Program
Most GSAS Departments will host program-specific sessions on this day. Admitted students will have the opportunity to gain more information about their Master’s or Ph.D. programs, ask questions, and meet with distinguished faculty members. Many program sessions will also feature current students and alumni. We highly recommend that everyone attend their admitted program’s respective sessions. If you have specific questions, feel free to connect with your Director of Graduate Studies.

In this session you will learn how to navigate the Handshake platform, attend career fairs, participate in professional development and networking opportunities and more. Their dedicated staff will assist you with your career goals and questions about how to achieve them.

Meet additional representatives from the GSC and other current GSAS graduate students to learn how they manage their time, overall wellness and mental health. Also learn more about social opportunities and how to make connections with your graduate peers and colleagues.

Get the scoop on all things New York City. Hear from current GSAS students as they share their experiences about finding housing and navigating the transit systems. Learn how they make the most out of living in the Big Apple whether it be nightlife, art and culture, or the city’s best kept secrets. If you are new to the area, you will leave this session feeling like a NY native.

End the week by learning about important next steps, deadlines for confirming your enrollment, registering for classes, and much more. The Admission’s Team will answer any remaining questions you may have as you prepare to begin your journey here at Fordham.
