A Year-Long Virtual Regional Conference Series Presented by The Fordham University CSTAC

Principle IV: Ongoing Professional Development and Support

Participants will continue their exploration of the NYS Culturally Responsive-Sustaining Education Framework, with a focus on the fourth and final principle: Ongoing Professional Development and Support. The focus of this final conference is on sustainability and resilience as we continue to cultivate equity in our community schools.

Being the Change: Implementing Culturally Responsive and Sustaining Practice with Authenticity
Patrice Fenton, The Fenton Collective

It is often said that we must be the change we want to see.  In this final session of our conference, participants will aim to bring together all they’ve learned from the conference series and be the change they’d like to see when it comes to CR-S.  Planning for implementation in the upcoming school year will therefore be the central focus.  We will surface ways to ensure CR-S is not only actionable, but seamlessly and authentically integrated into current practices to support educators’ ongoing learning, growth and development.
