Long Term Disability

The University provides LTD insurance at no cost to eligible employees. LTD pays 60 percent of basic monthly earnings if an illness or injury prevents an employee from working for an extended period of time. 

Employee Classification Fordham Paid (Income Replacement) Benefit Period Benefits
Faculty and Full-Time SEIU Faculty 60% of the employee's monthly income up to $12,500 per month

If disabled before 60, payable until age 65.

If disabled between ages 60-68, payable for up to 60 months or until age 70, whichever comes first.

If disabled after age 68, payable for 12 months.

Continuation of Tuition Remission Benefits

Administrators 60% of the employee's monthly income up to $12,500 per month
Maintenance 60% of the employee's monthly income up to $7,000 per month

If disabled before 60, payable until age 65.

If disabled 60 and over, payable for up to 60 months or until age 70, whichever comes first.
