Tutor Funding for Veterans

The VA will provide support for tutoring for eligible veterans to receive up to $100 reimbursement on a monthly basis toward tutoring with a maximum amount of $1,200 allotted.

Please complete Veterans Seeking Tutoring form. Once you have filled out the form, it will need to be sent to the school-certifying official. ODS can assist you with submitting the form, as we keep a list of the appropriate parties at the different campuses.

Eligibility for Funding:
If you are eligible for education benefits and need help in a subject, you can get supplemental payments for tutoring assistance as described above. 

The subject must be necessary for the completion of your approved program. You must be training at one-half time or more in a post-secondary program at an educational institution.

Even if you are passing a course, you can get tutoring assistance if the course is required for your degree.
