Introduction to French I

An introductory course that focuses on the four skills: speaking, reading, writing, and listening, providing students with a basic knowledge of French linguistic structures, vocabulary, and culture, which, studied interdependently, comprise the French language. Graduate course. A course designed for graduate students who are confronted with French in their research field. This course will provide grammar review and an introduction to translation in various fields. Open to seniors with a G.P.A. of 3.0 or better. Please consult your advisor. The tuition for this course is equivalent to one graduate summer credit.
