New Faces and Appointments

Gerald Johnson JrGerald Johnson Jr. is a retired Veteran who proudly served in the United Stated Marine Corps for 9 years. He currently works as an IT Security Engineer within the University Information Security Office (UISO) which began as a student worker position in the fall of 2016, and ultimately led to his promotion to a consultant earlier this year. Currently Gerald is enrolled in the Cyber Security Master’s program, a choice he made after he completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Computer science in May 2016 within Fordham University's PCS program.

Chris JohnsonChris Johnson is an IT Security Engineer helping Fordham stay safe from cyber-attacks. After spending nearly a decade in the U.S. Coast Guard serving as an Information Systems Security Officer and sysadmin, Chris knows what truly drives a successful information security posture - and it's not mastering the tech flavor of the week. It's how well you connect with the people you're trying to help and tailoring your environment and policies to help them succeed.

Chris holds a BS in information technology systems from Fordham University. He is currently a student at Fordham's Graduate School of Arts & Sciences' cybersecurity program. 

Louis PapaLouis Papa has been a part of the Fordham family since 2006, first as a student and now as an employee. Louis received both a Bachelor of Arts in History and Philosophy and a Master of Science in Cybersecurity from Fordham University. He started working at the University in 2016 as an Analyst for the IT Law Help Desk at Fordham University School of Law, and is now an IT Security Engineer with the University Information Security Office at the Rose Hill campus.

Kyle Cardona portrait Kyle Cardona joins the Teaching and Learning Environment (Media Services) group via New York University. Kyle worked at Fordham as a User Support Specialist for many years. Kyle brings his extensive knowledge of computer skills and  management capabilities to his new position as Audio-Visual Digital Media Technologist at Lincoln Center. Kyle’s technical expertise will be an asset in the ever changing digital classroom environment.  Please welcome Kyle Cardona back to the Fordham family as he assumes this new position.

Anthony Marx Portrait

Anthony Marx is a Network Operations Tech at Fordham University. Anthony, has been in the IT Field for 14 years, and brings a wide variety of experience, in a multi platform network environment. Anthony previously worked as a NOC Network Engineer providing over 400 companies network troubleshooting as well as integration of network security. Before that, Anthony worked at TD Bank as a Field Engineer maintaining all network equipment. Anthony is passionate about technology, and looks forward to continue acquiring knowledge to better his technical skills. He loves to play all kind of sports, traveling and reading the Bible. Anthony is an active volunteer in his community, and his goal is to help those in need, especially during critical times that are hard to deal with.

Anthony Tandoi

Anthony Tandoi joined the Network and Engineering Group on June 5, 2017 as a Network Engineer. He has joined Tiffany & Company, Met Life among others where he gained quite a bit of experience. His expertise in multiple fields such as, Business Continuity, Technology Integration, Large Scale Rollouts, Campus Data Centers and Branch Offices, Routing, Cisco WAAS, Strategic Planning and Networking in general made him eligible to become part of our group. Anthony received his BA from Hunter College and graduated Cum Laude in the field of Health Education.

Kyle Cizenski

Kyle Cizenski joined the IT Project Management Team as an intern in 2015 and transitioned to a Project Manager / Business Analyst role in May 2017. He attended Fordham College Rose Hill as an undergrad and graduated with a B.A. in economics in May 2017. In addition to his work with the Project Management Team, Kyle has been a Resident Technology Consultant, Library Tech Assistant and a member of the back to school IT Team while completing his studies at Fordham.

Edward Kidney

Edward Kidney began working at Fordham in 2014 as a consultant from ASI, where he held the position of Senior Systems Engineer for 12 years. During his time at ASI Ed specialized as a Microsoft Certified Deployment Expert in Microsoft Deployment Tools (MDT) and Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) for many midsized to large enterprise organizations. Before that Ed worked at IBM for 15 years as a Customer Engineer. ED holds the following Certifications: Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop Certification, Microsoft Certified System Engineer MCSE, Microsoft Certified System Administrator MCSA Server 2012, Microsoft Certified Professional MCP- Deploying Windows Desktops, Servers and Enterprise Applications.

Richard Eberhardt

Richard Eberhardt started working in the Fordham IT Systems group in 1998. He holds two Fordham degrees - BS in Computer Science and an MBA. He has recently moved into the Strategic Planning and Innovation group as Director of Innovation & Change Management. Working with Calvin Byer, they form the Innovation and Change Management team. Their purpose is to ensure smooth adoption of technology and cultivate innovation throughout the University with a focus on large scale IT initiatives.

Calvin Byer

When new technology services are launched, the change can be overwhelming. With the design and implementation of technology training programs, Calvin Byer's mission is to lower the learning curve for faculty and staff. Facilitating interactive workshops, webinars and instructional videos, he helps to maximize Fordham's adoption of new technologies. Leveraging over 15 years of IT experience, working in corporate finance and higher education, he enjoys the challenge of helping audiences of various backgrounds to embrace the benefits of change. His goal is to be the catalyst for enhancing the quality of Fordham's work and academic experience through new and innovative technologies. Calvin received his B.A. in political science at New York University, along with his M.A. in Elections and Campaign Management at Fordham University.
