Letter from the Assistant Dean
Dear Prospective LL.M. Candidates:
Thank you for your interest in the LL.M. program at Fordham Law School!
I have worked with graduate law students for more than 25 years, and over this time I have come to understand and appreciate what truly distinguishes Fordham Law from other law schools: our commitment to community.
Our Commitment to Community Begins with You. You, our students and prospective students, are at the heart of everything we do. Fordham, known as the friendly law school, embraces you even before you arrive and remains with you throughout your career. My colleagues Anthony Agolia, Marty Slavens, and I form the LL.M. leadership team and each of us is dedicated to your success. We ensure a smooth transition to Fordham Law and, for our international students, to the U.S., New York City, and the study of U.S. law.
Our Network is Your Network: Our community extends well beyond current students and our leadership team. The moment you join our LL.M. program you become an integral part of our network of professionals in New York City and around the world who are committed to the Fordham Law family—and to your success. Fordham Law’s engaged and committed alumni are available to help you navigate every step of your career.
In the Service of Others: The Law School’s motto, In the Service of Others, also reflects our commitment to community, and to service. This dedication is to a larger community, and naturally embraces service to clients as the defining role of any legal professional; but it also includes service to our communities and notions of justice that lie at the heart of what it means to be a Fordham Lawyer.
Thank you for exploring our LL.M. program. Additional information on our programs is available on our website and in our brochure. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you to our community of engaged—and engaging—legal professionals. I look forward to joining you throughout this journey!
Very truly yours,
Assistant Dean, International and Non-J.D. Programs
