Student Veterans of America at Fordham Leadership Team

Matias Ayala, President of Student Veterans of America at Fordham.

Matias Ayala, SVAF President 
Matias served in the United States Marine Corps. He was in the infantry and served as an Anti-tank Missile Gunner. He is working towards a B.S. in Information Technology and Systems.

Diego Garcia, Vice President of the Student Veterans of America at Fordham at Lincoln Center.

Diego Garcia, SVAF V.P. of Fordham Lincoln Center
Diego served as an Electrician’s Mate on board U.S.S Laboon while in the U.S Navy and is now studying System and Information Technology as a PCS student. He runs the SVAF team out of Lincoln Center, which operates the veteran resource center responsible for supporting over 200 student veterans at FCLC. Diego was born in Guatemala and has called NYC his home since he was 10.

Damaris Gonzalez, Vice President of SVAF Communications.

Damaris is an army veteran, double majoring in Communications and Media Studies and Visual Arts. She runs the SVAF social media platforms and handles all the communications projects, which is pivotal to outreach in the Fordham veteran community.
