My principal work is the study of manuscripts written in Beneventan script, a calligraphic texthand used in manuscripts of southern Italy and Dalmatia between the 9th and 14th centuries. Each year dozens of new items are discovered in the script, most fragments preserved as binding materials. My current projects on Beneventan topics include preparation of an inventory of the approx. 2000 fragments at Montecassino (to appear in 2017), an edition of a 14th-century manuscript containing Franciscan liturgical texts for use in Albania, an edition of a fragmentary 12th-century missal surviving at Montecassino, and studies to accompany facsimile editions of two Montecassino manuscripts.
