Art History Pre-Architecture Program
Prepare for graduate study in environmental design professions
Our pre-architecture program is designed to prepare you for graduate training in the environmental design professions. While most design schools do not specify a particular major for admission, an art history major will prepare you for any program:
- City Planning
- Landscape Architecture
- Urban Design
- Interior Design
- Historic Preservation
Career opportunities for pre-architecture students
If you plan to work immediately after graduation, the pre-architecture program is useful for careers in real estate, construction, preservation, and the interiors industries. When you complete the program, you will have learned the highly sought skills of computer-aided drafting and design (CAD).
Course requirements for the pre-architecture program.
With the Chair's permission, students may choose to execute a senior design project (VART 4090) as the senior capstone requirement.
