Academic Orientation
Before the start of classes, first-year students participate in an academic orientation program that eases their transition to college study. These important programs are an opportunity to:
- Meet the faculty, advisers, and deans who will help you achieve your college goals
- Learn about important academic policies, programs, and requirements
- Get an overview of the curriculum and course requirements
- Attend the Common Reading orientation event and lecture
- Discuss the Common Reading with your faculty adviser and other students
- Be Introduced to Fordham traditions, such as the Alma Mater
- Participate in First Year Convocation
New Student Orientation
The Office of Student Leadership and Community Development hosts a variety of student orientation programs to welcome the entering class. These events include:
- Summer Orientation Programs
- The Commuter and Transfer Student Barbecue
- The New Student Orientation
Feel free to take advantage of the parking facilities at Lincoln Center if you decide to bring your car.
