Teaching Programs

Teaching Programs at Fordham

Master of Science in Teaching (M.S.T.)
for those looking to become teachers for the first-time or current teachers who need a master's degree. These programs lead to initial New York State teacher certification. *Denotes availability at both Lincoln Center and Westchester campuses.

  • Adolescence Education: Biology, Chemistry, Earth Science, English, Mathematics, Physics, Social Studies and/or Special Education
  • Bilingual Childhood Education
  • Childhood Education*

Educational Leadership Programs

Master's Program Options

Fordham GSE offers certification and non-certification tracks for all programs. The certification tracks are those seeking New York State School Building Leader (SBL) certification. Students can choose to pursue either a two-year, part-time program or a one-year accelerated program.

  • School Building Leader - Public (certification track)
  • School Biulding Leader - Private/Faith-Based (certification track)
  • Administration and Supervision - Public (non-certification track)
  • Administration and Supervision - Private/Faith-Based (non-certification track)

Advanced Certificate

leads to eligiblity for New York State School District Leader certification

  • School District Leader

Doctoral Program Options

  • Administration and Supervision Ph.D.: Church and Non-Public School Leadership
  • Administration and Supervision Ed.D.
