The program is organized to promote learning through group projects, action research, critical reflection, clinical applications, problem-based simulations, policy analysis and two semesters of internship. Candidates seeking SBL certification are required to complete a one-year, part-time internship at their current schools.

The program, which follows a cohort model, is offered at our Lincoln Center Campus and, depending on interest, enrollment, and site availability, in Westchester.

The program qualifies students to take the New York State Education Department's School Building Leader (SBL) certification examination, which is required for school-based educational positions in all New York state public schools and some non-public schools.
