Heather O'Leary is a licensed psychologist in the state of New York. Prior to joining the counseling psychology faculty at Fordham University, she served in various clinical roles, providing psychodynamically-based psychotherapy to adults and children in hospital and community mental health settings. Previously, O'Leary taught clinically oriented courses as an adjunct professor within the Graduate School of Education at Fordham. In addition to her role at Fordham, she currently works part-time as a Psychologist in a college counseling center and is a candidate at the William Alanson White Institute.
O'Leary provides clinical advisement and administrative support for field-based and clinical experiences to students in the Mental Health Counseling and Counseling Psychology programs. She is available to students for consultation and advisement on clinical placements and all matters related to field-based experiences. O'Leary also serves as a liaison between on campus field-experience instructors and on-site supervisors. Additionally, she is responsible for administrative support related to field placements, as well as developing and enhancing relationships with clinical placement sites in the community.
