Stan Kaminsky was an elementary school principal for 23 years (15 in NYC and eight in Long Island), as well as a middle school/junior high school/high school assistant principal, teacher and guidance counselor for 12 years in New York City.

He has experienced the public education of students from Pre-K through grade 12, both within and outside New York City. This unique blend of experiences has afforded him a wide lens to view successful educational programs and positive leadership practices at all levels and in many curricular areas.

Kaminsky received his graduate degree from New York University (NYU) in Administration, and completed his undergraduate teacher preparation at NYU as well. He is a "product" of the NYC public schools (all in The Bronx), and is quite proud of this fact! As a teacher of science, mathematics and some social studies, he never thought about becoming a school leader. However, his supervising principal "saw something", and strongly encouraged him in that direction.
