Commuter and Transfer Student Engagement Program

 

We are looking forward to meeting you at our Commuter and Transfer Student Engagement Program on Monday, August 3rd!

Below is information on the schedule and how to register for the day. We hope this program provides an opportunity for all students to build connections with their peers.

Registration Information

  • We are utilizing Zoom as our platform for this virtual program.

  • Registration is required so that we have an accurate headcount for Zoom capacity needs. 

  • Zoom will ask you a series of questions that you will need to answer in order to register, and you will receive a confirmation email once you have registered.

  • Please note, the registration link for Commuter First-Year and Transfer students is the same link.

Commuter First-Year Schedule

  • 10:30am-11am - Welcome Remarks
  • 11am-11:30am - Commuter First-Year Mentor Breakout Groups
    • Commuter First-Year students will meet with their Commuter First-Year Mentor and get to know their mentee small group
  • 11:30am-12pm - Borough Breakdown
    • Commuter students will meet with their peers who will be commuting from the same area as them
  • 12:00pm-12:45pm - Commuter Student Panel
    • Learn more about the commuter student experience at Fordham University!

 

Transfer Student Schedule

  • 10:30am-11am - Welcome Remarks
  • 11am-11:30am - Transfer student breakout
    • Transfer students will meet some of their peers who are also transferring to Fordham University this Fall
  • 11:30am-12pm - Borough Breakdown & Resident Transfer Student Breakout
    • Commuter transfer students will meet with their peers who will be commuting from the same area as them
    • Resident transfer students will meet with their peers who will be living on campus in the Fall as well
  • 12:00pm-12:45pm - Meet with Fordham College at Lincoln Center Representative 
    • Transfer students will have the opportunity to ask a representative from the Fordham College at Lincoln Center Dean’s Office any questions they have about academics.
