Feerick Center for Social Justice
Feerick Center for Social Justice
The Center’s establishment reflects Fordham Law School’s long tradition of and commitment to legal education in the service of others and builds on Professor John D. Feerick’s contributions as Dean of the Law School (1982-2002) and currently as the Sidney C. Norris Professor of Law.
We Have an Opportunity for You!
In the AmeriCorps VISTA program, you can serve in the community by working on a social justice project. You will work alongside community leaders and local organizations to make a lasting impact. This is a wonderful opportunity for a person passionate about economic equity and access to justice who is interested in pursuing a public interest career. AmeriCorps VISTA members commit to a one-year, full-time term of service. In exchange, you will receive a modest living allowance, a $6,895 education award (to put towards education expenses such as student loans or future tuition expenses), or $1,800 cash stipend award, relocation payment assistance, health coverage, and many other benefits.
Service terms begin as of June 2024. Positions available are:
- The New York State Attorney Emeritus Program VISTA Coordinator (2 positions)
- NYC Consumer Advocacy Project VISTA Coordinator (2 positions)
