Guest Access

Request for Guest Access for Those Providing Services to the University

If a person will be performing a service for the University, but will not be paid through the payroll or listed as an Employee in the Human Resources system, they are considered eligible to be a Human Resources Guest. Guests are most often Consultants, Volunteers or Employees of Fordham Vendors (Sodexo, Barnes and Noble) who need access to campus.

There are two types of Guest Access for those who work on campus and provide a continuous service, but are not paid through the payroll:

  • Electronic Access (ie Email, Active Directory, Portal, Wireless) - This includes ID Card Access to Campus as well.
  • ID Card Only Access

Guest Access expires every year at the end of business on May 31, unless an earlier date is noted.

Request for Guest ID Card for Spouse or Partner of University Employees

If a spouse or partner of an active University Employee needs access to campus, they are eligible to receive their own Fordham ID card upon request.

The University Employee must act as a sponsor and assume responsibility for the conduct and activities of their guest by providing their signature and Fordham ID Number on the request form. These guests must comply with the University's Code of Conduct as well as all Fordham Policies. They are prohibited from all campus residence halls and private office spaces.

Guest Access to campus by a spouse or partner of a University Employee expires every year at the end of business on May 31. Employees are responsible for cancelling the identification card of their guest. If an employee is terminated, the access of their spouse or partner will be terminated as well.

The University reserves the right to remove any guest when warranted and to cancel the guest identification card.
