Summer Course Information
FCRH students have the opportunity to take summer coursework both at and outside of Fordham. Summer courses can be taken to make up classes due to withdrawal or failure and/or to accelerate progress towards the Core Curriculum or a major.
Consult our Non-Fordham Summer Courses page for information on securing approval for summer courses not taught at Fordham.
Summer Coursework at Fordham
Fordham's Office of Summer Session offers over 200 undergraduate courses over two month-long course sessions. Students are permitted to take up to two courses per summer (maximum of 8 credits). Permission is needed from the Class Dean to register for more than 8 credits. Otherwise, no special approval is needed.
Summer courses completed at Fordham bear Fordham credit, affect the Fordham GPA, and fulfill many of the same requirements as do academic year courses.
Online Summer Coursework
For Summer 2017, FCRH students are permitted to take one online Fordham summer course. Please consult the list of available online summer courses, as well as the applicable registration policies and procedures.
Online summer courses at institutions other than Fordham are not accepted for transfer credit.
