The Coalition presents classes to thousands of consumers in NYC. Ranging from high school students to senior citizens, we reach a broad range of New Yorkers with a specific focus on vulnerable populations. Our topics include basic budgeting, saving, managing credit and debt as well as information about student loans and what you need to know before you enroll in college or trade school.

There's no need for a financial background, simply a passion for helping people navigate the increasingly complicated choices to manage personal finances. Working with the students is fun and satisfying.

Teaching won't take up a lot of your time. We provide power-points, outlines, handouts, everything you need to present a class. Once you are trained, you volunteer for classes at your own convenience.  It's interesting and a great way to get out into the community and give back.

Have other skills?

If you have a background as a writer, editor, corporate trainer, marketer, or are fluent in social media—or Spanish or Chinese— we could use your help too!
