Deborah McCarthy

Adjunct Professor of Law

Deborah McCarthy is an Assistant Attorney General in the Charities Bureau (Trust and Estate section) of the New York State Attorney General’s Office. Prior to joining the Attorney General’s Office, Ms. McCarthy was a litigation attorney for over twenty years with a large White Plains law firm.

Her practice primarily involved commercial litigation, estate litigation and bankruptcy. While at the firm, her appellate work included arguing appeals before both the First and Second Departments.

Ms. McCarthy also served as a pro bono arbitrator for the Small Claims Court in the City of White Plains, New York. Ms. McCarthy is a Louis J. Lefkowitz Memorial Award recipient at the Attorney General’s Office.
