Matthew Brown

Biography:

Matthew Brown is a doctoral student in Systematic Theology whose research interests include soteriology (particularly atonement and deification), apokatastasis, hermeneutics, ecclesiology, and notions of authority and tradition. Matthew is a priest in the Orthodox Church and is currently assigned to St. Mary Magdalen in Manhattan. He is the Editor-in-Chief of a diocesan magazine called Jacob’s Well. Prior to priestly ministry he worked as an administrator for a Goodwill Industries in Michigan, which among other duties oversaw a program for prisoner re-entry and employment with the department of corrections. Matthew was born and raised in Michigan, but now resides in New Jersey with his wife and three children.
