Pollie Awards 2016
Fordham graduate students in the Elections and Campaign Management Program at Fordham University have been awarded the Pollie Award from the American Association of Political Consultants (AAPC) - the industry’s highest honor bestowed upon top political consultants at the national and international level for the "Best Campaign Plan".
During the 2015 summer semester, a group of students developed a 155 page master campaign plan to see if Congresswoman Betty McCollum could run for Governor and win in a general election. The campaign outlined how Congresswoman could run for Governor and win in a general election even with the threat of two opponents. We created an overall strategy that included a strategic campaign plan along with finance, media, field operations plans. We also included television and radio commercials, as well as direct mail pieces.
Dawnmarie Kuhn and James Flood traveled to San Juan Puerto Rico to attend the AAPC annual Pollie Conference and Award Ceremony to accept the award.
Fordham's 2016 Pollie award recipients for the Best Campaign Plan are:
- DawnMarie Kuhn
- James Flood

The campaign plan “Betty McCollum for Governor” was the only student submission that was recognized out of hundreds of entries.
