Graduate Interns

Lilibeth Ramos-Flores joined the Multicultural Affairs Office in December 2017. Previous to that, Lilibeth was an undergraduate student at Fordham College Rose Hill. She graduated in May 2017 with a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and Spanish. While at Fordham, Lilibeth was a Diversity Peer Leader with OMA during her senior year. Additionally, she participated in the New Student Orientation Program as an Orientation Assistant Captain, assisting in the welcoming of new students and families onto campus. In her role as a graduate intern, Lilibeth serves as a liaison to cultural clubs, departments at the University and also leads the Diversity Peer Leader group for the Rose Hill campus. Equipped with a strong understanding of Fordham values and a passion to provide equity for all persons, Lilibeth is excited to continue working with the Office of Multicultural Affairs. April Ortiz is joining Fordham University as a Graduate Intern in the Office of Multicultural Affairs for the 2018-2019 academic school year. April is a graduate student pursuing her M.A degree in Higher and Postsecondary Education at Teachers College, Columbia University. She is interested in studying Higher Education to be able to assist student leaders in their development and contribute to campus programming. Upon her undergraduate commencement from Baylor University, April chose to serve with Teach For America. She served as a middle school teacher in the Rio Grande Valley which is where she was born and raised. Prior to moving to NYC, April lived in Bangkok, Thailand for a year and a half where she was able to teach English to students from nursery level to students at corporate level. April’s passion for working with students stems from her volunteer work as a mentor during her undergraduate studies. April has held many leadership roles during her time as an undergraduate and professional career and looks forward to working with students and student leaders through her role as a Graduate Intern.
