John Carey, Center Director
John Carey is a professor of communication and media management at the Gabelli School of Business and director of Fordham's Center for Communication. His research focuses on consumer adoption of new media, media industry economics, and historical studies of media use. He holds a PhD from the Annenberg School for Communication at the University of Pennsylvania.

John A. Fortunato
John A. Fortunato is a professor and the area chair of communication and media management at the Gabelli School of Business. He is the author of four books about sports media and numerous academic journal articles in the fields of public relations, branding, and media management. He received his PhD from Rutgers University’s School of Communication, Information, and Library Science.

Bozena I. Mierzejewska
Bozena I. Mierzejewska is an associate professor of communication and media management at the Gabelli School of Business. Her research focuses on media management, economics, and organizations. She is the editor of JMM – The International Journal on Media Management, a leading academic publication, and received the Barry Sherman Teaching Award. She holds a PhD in management from the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland.

Axel Roepnack
Axel Roepnack is clinical assistant professor of communication and media management at the Gabelli School of Business. His research focuses on media management and business communication, including how digital transformations are challenging different media sectors and how the business models of media companies are affected. He worked for more than ten years as a communication and management consultant with international clients across Europe. Axel holds a PhD from the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland.

Travis L. Russ
Travis L. Russ is an associate professor of communication and media management at the Gabelli School of Business. His research focuses on organizational change, participatory communication, and human learning. He has won national and international awards, and his research has been published in leading academic journals. He holds a PhD in communication from Rutgers University.
