Display Problems

My page has been saved, but it doesn't show live.

  • Check to see if the page has been submitted for approved.
  • Check to see if the page has been activated (Homepage only).
  • Check the .web server; type .web at the beginning of the URL.

Note: If a Homepage has been approved, but does not show up for activation, reassign the category of the Homepage, and approve it again. This should make the Homepage appear in the activation list again.

The Homepage I created is not showing up, and it’s been a few days.

  • Check if it is assigned to the correct category.
  • Check to see if the page has been submitted and approved.
  • Check to see if the Homepage is active.
  • Reactivate the Homepage.

Note: If a Homepage has been approved, but does not show up for activation, reassign the category of the Homepage, and approve it again. This should make the Homepage appear in the activation list again.

The text is not of the correct size or looks different from everything else.

  • Highlight the text and select “Normal” from the drop-down menu.
  • Copy the different text, paste it into Notepad, copy it, and paste it back into Jadu.
  • Check HTML view and change the < div > tags to < p > tags, and remove < span > tags.

The left-hand navigation doesn't match my page name after renaming my page.

If it is a Homepage:

  • Make sure that the category has the same name as the page. This can be done by going into Category Builder to rename the category.
    • Be sure to publish the navigation after renaming the category. It may take a couple of minutes for the navigation to publish.

If it is Document Page or the category is named the same:

  • It is most likely that the left-hand navigation is using Custom Menus. Please contact websitefeedback@fordham.edu, and we will be happy to assist.

Items Not Working

My links are not working.

We recommend that you use either Firefox, Chrome, or Safari when working in Jadu.
Please note that Internet Explorer does not allow you to add hyperlinks.

Page Improvements

My page looks plain and I want to make it look better.

Improving the style and overall feel of your pages involves using a combination of images, supplements, and widgets.

I want to add a button to my page.

Create a Button to highlight a Call-to-Action.

Click the HTML button at the top right of the Text Editor box, place your cursor where you would like to insert the button, and insert the above code. Please be sure to replace the 'LINK' with the actual link you want the button to link/direct to. Once saved and approved, the button will look like the one below.

I would like to add anchor tags.

To do anchor links, you need to edit the HTML code and add paragraph IDs. For example:

This is an example for anchors.

This would allow for the URL http://www.example.com#test to jump straight to the anchor.

How do I place content beneath my accordion?

In order to add text or images beneath an accordion supplement, you will need to create a Custom HTML supplement. In order to do so, you will need to do the following:

  1. Click on “Page Supplements” in the upper left.
  2. Select supplement location "Bottom".
  3. Click on "Add New Bottom Supplement".
  4. Select "Custom HTML Supplement".
  5. Name the supplement using the naming convention.
    (i.e. Center/Department | Name of Section)
    • You can decide whether or not to display the title via the drop-down box beneath the title field.
  6. Fill out the content field.
  7. Click on “Save Supplement”.
