Commuter Guide to LC Orientation

Welcome Commuter Students

Students Going to Class

Commuters are a very visible and active community on campus. We hope that you feel comfortable in this very tight-knit community and get involved as much as possible. There are plenty of opportunities for integration between commuters and residents, as well as numerous resources designed to help you make the most of your experience here at our Lincoln Center campus. Please take advantage of the various opportunities listed on this webpage that will help you acclimate to the commuter college student experience. Please contact New Student Orientation with any questions or concerns.

Commuter Student Services

As a part of the Office for Student Involvement, Commuter Student Services (CSS) provides a variety of services to support commuter students in their life at Fordham. Such services include Commuter Brunches, the Subway Series, Commuter Outreach, the Commuter First-Year Mentor program, a biweekly electronic Commuter Newsletter and other workshops and programs.

Commuting Students Association

The Commuting Students Association (CSA) is the governing body for commuter students at the Lincoln Center campus. CSA meets on Thursdays at 11:30 a.m. throughout the semester, and every commuter student is automatically a member!

Commuter First-Year Mentor Program

As the first link to the Fordham community, Commuter First-Year Mentors (CFMs) will introduce new commuter students to the campus. All incoming commuter freshmen will be assigned to a CFM for their first year at Fordham. Remember to check your email over the summer for news from your CFM!
