A Note to the Parents of New Students:
Our dedicated Fordham staff and current students with experience transitioning across cultures to Fordham have prepared an excellent 5-day program for your children called Global Transition. New students will be engaged from August 20-24 as they learn about how things work at Fordham, make new friends and adjust to a new time zone! We respectfully ask that you allow your children to fully participate in this program. Please do not make plans with your children during Global Transition. If they leave the program to see you, they will miss an important learning opportunity. Their new relationships at Fordham will be critical to their successful transition here - so give them the time to develop these friendships. We know from experience that this week is vital in forging lasting connections between new students! Global Transition participants have optional activities on Saturday, August 24 - so this is the best date to see your children before classes begin on August 28. We hope you will attend the Global Transition Parent Program and make some new friends of your own!
