Office of Finance

The Fordham community interacts with areas of the Office of Finance on a regular basis. This interaction can occur on a daily, weekly or quarterly basis, depending on the function being completed.

The Office of Finance consists of the Budget Office, Treasury, Controller's Office, Strategic Sourcing and Office Services, Internal Audit, Accounting, Accounts Payable, University Collections, Travel and Expense, Financial Administration, Expenditures, and Human Resources. Each department has internal processes and policies that directly affect the financial operations of the University.

Much of the information being processed is shared between departments. The financial output generated in one area is, in turn, fed to another area. As a result, it is very important that the information is processed timely and accurately.

Departments within the University are responsible for processing, updating and submitting their internal budgetary information.

Specific guidelines must be followed for this information to be processed correctly. The proper documentation of Financial Policies and Procedures will help to provide guidelines for the Fordham community.
