Hiring Undergraduate Students
About the Personal and Professional Development Center
The Personal and Professional Development Center—also known as PPD—provides an additional layer of career preparation services for Gabelli School of Business students.
At Fordham, general career preparation is provided by the University-wide Office of Career Services, which also organizes on-campus recruiting, career fairs, and other large-scale events.
PPD builds on top of that strong foundation.
Our services include industry-specific workshops for business majors; individualized student career counseling; and opportunities for companies to engage with undergraduates in unique ways, such as case-oriented sessions where students can show you, rather than tell you, what they can do.
If your company is new to recruiting at Fordham—or you’d like to expand your hiring of Gabelli School students—we encourage you to connect with us. Email Cynthia Bush, director of career advising for undergraduate programs.
Fordham provides a wide range of services for employers. Companies and organizations are invited to pursue connections that encompass and go beyond direct hiring. Options include:

Why hire a Gabelli School of Business undergraduate student?
As the Jesuit university of New York, Fordham produces business graduates who are different from their peers. They feel strongly that business leadership should be—and can be—ethical and noble. They know how to win without pushing others down. And, through their Fordham education, they come to value “business with purpose,” prioritizing the needs of their employers, their society, and their world.
