The Fordham-Ghana Summer Program for Summer 2020 has been canceled.

The Program offers single and double rooms in GIMPA's Executive Hostel (EH), conveniently located in the same building in which program courses are held, for the duration of the academic session:

  • $1200 Single-occupancy room;
  • $900 Double-occupancy room for two students (per person)

The program makes every effort to meet the preferences students indicate on the program application, and sends housing assignments in early-May.

Room rates include breakfast buffet in the EH on weekday mornings. The EH dining room also offers lunch during the week, and dinner and weekend meals on request, in the range of $20/meal. Students also have the option of GIMPA's student cafeteria, which serves lunch and dinner on weekdays for roughly $10 per meal.

All rooms are self-contained and equipped with ethernet connection, air-conditioning, television, small refrigerator, and full bath. Hot-water heaters are permitted and can be purchased for about $20 at the local shopping center, along with groceries. Wireless internet is available in the main lobby, as well as a business center and hotel shop. Students also have access to the GIMPA libraries, including study carrels. The EH also offers several other rooming options, from executive singles to suites, which students may reserve directly with the Executive Hostel. Likewise, students are free to make entirely independent arrangements for housing elsewhere in Accra. In any case, students are strongly encouraged to finalize their housing arrangements prior to their arrival in Ghana.

Access to FAcilities for Persons with Disabilities
While the Program cannot guarantee that GIMPA's facilities will meet all U.S. standards of access for persons with disabilities, every attempt will be made to accommodate every program participant. Applicants are encouraged to contact the Executive Director as early in the application process as possible to discuss and arrange for the best possible accommodations.
