From the Blues to Beyoncé

Faith in Music

March 13 through May 19, 2017

Professor Tom Beaudoin, PhD

This free, public, online course explores the spiritual significance of popular music through a theological study of eight influential artists: Robert Johnson, Rosetta Tharpe, Elvis Presley, George Harrison, Carlos Santana, Lauryn Hill, Björk, and Beyoncé. The emphasis will be on what we can learn from this rich history of "faith in music" for a deeper experience of music in everyday life. This course is a cooperative venture between GSRRE and WFUV (90.7 FM).

Please note, registration will close March 23, 2017
