Dance and Theatre (Priority Performance)

Incoming Freshman Financial Aid Application Process:

Dance and Theatre (Priority Performance) students apply early and receive a decision in advance of the institution's regular response date. Students who are U.S. Citizens or Eligible Non-Citizens are eligible to receive an early financial aid package including federal*, state and institutional awards by March 1.

Complete the following steps:

  • Both the FAFSA and the CSS Profile are available on the same date, October 1.
  • File the Free Application for Student Aid (FAFSA) and CSS Profile by the February 10 deadline. Filing both forms at the same time will help you ensure the financial data is consistent on the two applications.
    • Secure a Federal Student Aid ID (FSA ID) before filing the FAFSA.
    • Your family will use 2016 income information on both applications.
    • The easiest way to complete your FAFSA with accurate income information is by employing the IRS Data Retrieval Tool (DRT) through Using this free tool, in a few simple steps, most students and parents who filed a 2016 tax return can transfer their tax return information directly into their FAFSA. This process will also provide you with some of the data you will need to complete the CSS Profile.
  • Respond to requests for additional information on a timely basis no later than February 23 and ensure all documents requiring a signature are signed.

Students who miss the priority performance deadline will be considered for a regular decision financial aid package.
