In order to engage and cultivate our growing community of scholars, we offer membership to cohort-driven workgroups, and sponsor talks, lectures, and roundtable discussions on topics of engaged learning.
Each semester, the center offers faculty the opportunity to participate in a workgroup that centers on course creation. We workshop course proposals and syllabi, support partner relationships, and discuss questions of engaged pedagogy. Right now, we are accepting members for our January 2020 cohort! Interested faculty members should reach out to Julie Gafney at email@example.com.
Every year, the center hosts a number of faculty forums that provide the Fordham community with tools for growing in our understanding of engaged scholarship and pedagogy. Forum topics include Ignatian spirituality and engaged scholarship, anti-racism and community partners, and experiential learning assessment methods.
