FCLC First-Year Summer Read
For the first time, FCLC and FCRH are sharing a common read with our incoming first-year students. We are very excited about the many possibilities offered by Colson Whitehead’s The Colossus of New York.
Why the summer read?
In these challenging times, we are conscious of the need to bring people together and what better way to do so than engaging with literature. This rick text offers us the opportunity to delve into many different themes and topics. Centered in New York, it invites the class of 2024 to begin thinking about their New York.
We have invited members of the Fordham community to share and reflect on their New York experience. Together, we will explore The Colossus of New York and all of its complexities.
All students will receive an invitation to register for the virtual summer engagements. You can register for more than one engagement throughout the course of the summer.
