Housing

Students eating churros in GranadaAn integral component of this program is the full immersion living arrangement. Participants will live with a Granadan family for the semester. Homestay families provide breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as a supportive environment for participants to acclimate to their new surroundings.

There are typically two Fordham students assigned to a homestay. Students may be placed in single or double rooms depending on availability and will have a separate bathroom from their host families that may be shared with another student. Housing placements are typically within walking distance of the CLM, and there is also public transportation available throughout the city of Granada.

Homestays will provide the following:

  • Bed linens and pillows
  • Three meals per day
  • Wifi
  • Washing machines (in some homestays)

Once accepted into the program, students will complete a housing form in the study abroad portal as part of the host family selection process. Families are carefully selected by the Universidad de Granada in consultation with Dr. Rafael Lamas, Director of Fordham in Granada.
