M.S. in Applied Health Informatics Admission Requirements
Application Information and Admission Criteria
Admission to the Master of Science in Applied Health Informatics and to the advanced certificate program is based on a holistic view of applicants’ academic performance, professional experience, and technical proficiencies. Requirements include superior performance in attaining the bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
Successful candidates must demonstrate strong writing and numeracy skills with the ability to effectively communicate concepts and ideas subtly and succinctly. Basic verbal, quantitative, and communications skills will be assessed prior to matriculation, and any deficiencies corrected prior to beginning the program’s core courses. Strong standardized test (GMAT, GRE, TOEFL/IBT [when applicable]) scores are required (GMAT/GRE not required for the advanced certificate), as are convincing recommendations. GMAT waivers are considered for those with previous work experience, with preference given to those possessing a minimum of two or more years of professional experience.
The online application includes:
- Transcripts of bachelor’s degree
- Minimum of one professional reference
- GMAT/GRE score or petition for waiver
