The Campus Center Operations Team consists of two full time professionals, two part time professionals and approximately 15 student employees. Assistant Director for Campus Center Operations
The Assistant Director for Campus Center Operations is responsible for managing the Campus Center Operations Team. The goal of both the Assistant Director and the Campus Center Operations Team is to make sure that all guests (students, faculty, staff and external guests) are taken care of. This also entails making sure that all equipment in the venues are working accordingly so that guests can experience a stress free event.
The Reservations Coordinator is responsible for overseeing all reservations within the Campus Center Operation. This includes making sure that all events are setup according to the group's needs.
The Reservations Manager is a part-time employee who is also an undergraduate student at Fordham University. This person is responsible for assisting the Reservations Coordinator in processing external events. The Reservations Manager works with external clients to determine what their needs are and how the McGinley Center can meet those needs. The Reservations Manager also works with clients to complete the contracts required for the rental of spaces.
Senior Building Manager
The Senior Building Manager is a part-time employee who is also an undergraduate student at Fordham University. This person is responsible for assisting the Assistant Director for Campus Center Operations with the management of the Building Manager Team. The Senior Building Manager is responsible for scheduling weekly meetings with the staff and also manages the work schedule for the Building Managers.
The Building Managers are undergraduate student employees who assist the full and part time staff with the management of the McGinley Center on nights and weekends. Each Building Manager is assigned a specific role to perform in addition to the general responsibilities of a Building Manager. These roles are programming, facilities, Building Assistant training, and A/V.
ProgrammingEach Building Manager is required to put on at least three programs a semester. The Programming Building Manager is responsible for keeping track of the BM programs and maintaining the OrgSync calendar.
OperationsEach Building Manager is responsible for keeping track of room conditions in the nightly rounds. The Operations Building Manager is responsible for collecting all of the work orders required and send out the weekly emails to Building Assistants.
Building Assistant TrainingThis Building Manager is responsible for coordinating both the dates and agendas for the Building Assistant training. This Building Manager is required to attend and facilitate BA trainings once a month.
A/VThe A/V Building Manager is responsible for making sure that all the Building Managers are maintaining the organization of the A/V Closet. This BM is also responsible for requesting and researching new equipment. If any Building Manager finds equipment that is broken, they are to inform the A/V Building Manager.
Building Assistants are undergraduate student employees who are the eyes and ears of the building. Building Assistants work at the information desk, managing the front lines of the McGinley Center. Their primary responsibility is to respond to the needs of the Fordham Community (either via phone or in person) and to assist with technology setups when needed.
