About International Studies

International Studies is an interdisciplinary major, drawing program committee members from several different departments, creating a dynamic and diverse community of faculty from whom students can learn.
The major’s Program Committee has faculty representatives from the Departments of Anthropology and Sociology, Economics, History, and Languages and Cultures.  
International Studies is will provide you with a solid foundations in diverse subjects, including:

  • Anthropology
  • Economics
  • Foreign Language
  • History
  • Politics
  • Sociology

You may also take major electives in a variety of other areas, such as art history, communications, environmental studies, humanitarian affairs, philosophy, theology, and more.
