Assessment Planning for New and Revised Programs
Every degree- or certificate-granting program at the University is grounded by its goals for students' learning, articulated at its inception and shared with current and prospective students on its public website. Learning goals should be developed in tandem with new program curricula and reviewed periodically. A plan for the assessment of those learning goals must be included in program registration applications to the New York State Department of Education. Faculty and administrators considering developing new programs are encouraged to contact the University Assessment Officer for assistance and guidance early in the development process.
