GSE Centers and Institutes

The Graduate School of Education at Fordham University offers summer institutes for teachers of Advanced Placement® high school courses at its Lincoln Center campus. All institutes are taught by experienced teachers of AP® and are endorsed by the College Board®. Institutes may be taken for three graduate credits.

The Bernard L. Schwartz Center for Media, Public Policy and Education is devoted to studying America’s embattled newsgathering traditions and investigating solutions for their survival.

The Center for Catholic School Leadership and Faith-Based Education has been a national pioneer and leader in the research, education and service of the sacred mission of Catholic schools. The center has been a catalyst for creating initiatives and forging partnerships to advance and excel at Catholic education nationally and internationally. It counts among its alumni principals; presidents; and superintendents and other diocesan personnel around the country. It remains steadfast in its commitment to global leadership in Catholic education around the world. 

Adhering to the basic principles of applied research, the center’s mission is to provide services and assistance to teachers, administrators, students, and parents, as well as to education and government agencies designed to enable all children to achieve and succeed. The center's initiatives include:

• Community Schools Partnership Program
• Mathematics, Literacy, ELL (English Language Learners), and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) Coaching Programs
• NYS/NYC Regional Bilingual Education Resource Network
• NYS Community Schools Technical Assistance Center (CSTAC)

The center serves as a training facility for graduate students who are enrolled in the school psychology, educational psychology, and counseling programs at Fordham University. The students provide services under intensive supervision as part of their educational training.

The school psychology program is accredited by the American Psychological Association and the National Association of School Psychologists.
