Welcome to Fordham's Department of Political Science!

The department spans two campuses, Rose Hill and Lincoln Center, where faculty offer courses covering the diverse sub-fields of political science. As part of our curriculum, we offer an undergraduate major as well as graduate degrees in Political Science. The department also participates in an interdisciplinary undergraduate major in International Political Economy and a Masters degree in International Political Economy and Development. All of our courses, both undergraduate and graduate, are small thereby allowing for considerable faculty-student interaction. Several of our undergraduate majors have been selected for prestigious fellowships.

The Department now also offers a Master's Program in Elections and Campaign Management, a comprehensive, one-year introduction to both the theoretical and practical tools necessary to excel at managing political campaigns.

The department's faculty are also active in scholarly activities as members of the department have written books published by major university presses including Princeton, Michigan, Chicago, Oxford and SUNY. In addition, faculty regularly publish articles in the discipline's major journals and present papers at national and regional conferences. Faculty have won prestigious awards and prizes including several Fulbrights. Faculty members are regularly quoted by the newsmedia and have appeared on television and radio commenting on important news items.
